Hello Neighbors,
Good news! The Westhaven Estates homes real estate market has strengthened over last year in Westhaven estates. Both in Single Family homes and in Townhomes listings and sales are up over 2018. Our great Houston location, close proximity to the Houston Galleria, Houston Uptown, and renovated Houston Post Oak area add to the desirability plus Briargrove Elementary School and many private schools add to the local flavor. Also important is our access to I-10, Loop 610, Hwy 59/69, Westpark and Sam Houston Tollroads make commutes to downtown, the Houston Medical Center and both airports handy. The best news is, it isn’t flood prone.
There continues to be new construction in the area which skews the numbers somewhat price/sq. foot, but in a healthy way. It keeps our neighborhood changing and adds value to older homes, especially those that have been remodeled. Please share this information to your friends and Neighbors.
SINGLE FAMILY HOMES
Active For Sale: 24. List prices: $470,000 to $1,415,000. 2018/2019 construction 9.
Sold: 10 (5 in 2018). $350,000 to $1,340,000. (2018: $500,000 to $1,300,000)
TOWNHOMES
Active for Sale: 21. List prices: $295,000 to $899,000.
Sold: 7 (15 in 2018). $350,000 to $535,000. (2018: $311,500 to $595,000.
There are more homes Westhaven Estates homes for sale this year and it is more evenly distributed between buyers and sellers market. We are getting at the peak of the active sales season but there is another uptick usually during the holidays. Many businesses choose to move employees to coincide with new semesters approaching.
